Here is the ‘Cadillac’ of all Firestone Radios! The Beautiful and Rarely Seen, 1939 Air Chief S-7398-3. This Classy Set has it all… Solid Maple Grill, AM & Shortwave Bands, Loop Antenna, Tone Control, Superb Sound, Amazing Reception, and an ‘Eye Catching’ Oversized Dial!

Cabinet: The Gorgeous Solid Wood Cabinet is in remarkable condition. Virtually Flawless! Stunning wood grain runs throughout the set and is complimented perfectly by a protruding Solid Maple Grill. Louvered inlays surround the grill area and jet black trim adds a stunning contrast. One gold pinstripe inlay runs along the bottom right half of the cabinet finishing this set off with Elegance and Class!

Finish: All of our sets undergo a vigorous restoration process using at least 12 coats of Mohawk brand lacquers and toners with wet sanding in between. Therefore, the cabinets on our radios come to you with a silk smooth finish with gorgeous luster and a glass like shine. Our Radios are ready for you to proudly display, as well as listen to, in any room of the house or office. During the restoration process on this set, rippled veneer was secured as well as repairs made to two cracked knobs. The repairs are barely visible and nothing that detracts from the beauty of this set.

Dial/Knobs: The oversized dial is in perfect condition. A beautiful array of colors with ivory, black and red. All numbers representing station frequencies are legible and show no signs of wear. The brass escutcheon is also in excellent shape showing very little signs of wear. All four original bakelite knobs are in great shape. They are secure turn nice and smooth as they should, and still retain their felt pads behind.

Electronics/Chassis: The 6 tube chassis is in impeccable condition. It is clean and rust free. This set plays remarkably on both AM and Shortwave Bands. Booming volume, great tone, superb base, and no hum across the dial! The reception on this set is so strong that I can listen to stations all over the world up and down the dial! Our sets receive as much attention to their electronics as they do their cabinets. All of our sets chassis’s are thoroughly cleaned, lubed and realigned. All tubes, caps and resistors are tested and replaced as needed. All bare and brittle wires are replaced as well as the line cord upgraded to a safer version. I will include a 30 day warranty on the tubes, caps and filters.

Dimensions: 18”W x 11”H x 8 ½”D. Shipping costs: $40 East Coast, $45 Central, $60 West Coast.

Here is a Gorgeous, and Rarely Seen, 1940 Emerson ‘Patriot’ in the Desirable ’Ingraham’ Cabinet. Produced Just Prior to America’s Entry into WW-II, This Stylish Table Radio is made out of Solid Maple Wood and Features ‘Patriotic’ Red, White, and Blue Inlays.

Cabinet: Emerson made several different Patriot models before America‘s Entry into WW-II. The 400 series, which were all made out of Catalin, and this less common model 406, made out of solid maple. This set is one of the finest examples of the Patriot you will find. The cabinet is absolutely stunning, featuring a much lighter wood than the usual dark walnut veneer of this time period. Subtle but beautiful wood grain runs throughout the set contrasted beautifully by the three ’Patriotic’ red, white, and blue inlays which are in excellent condition. Vertical Grill Louvers, Black spring loaded handle, and the famous Emerson ’G’ Clef logo finish this set off perfectly.

Finish: All of our sets undergo a vigorous restoration process using 14+ coats of Mohawk brand lacquers and toners with wet sanding in between. Therefore, the cabinets on our radios come to you with a silk smooth finish with gorgeous luster and a glass like shine. Our Radios are ready for you to proudly display, as well as listen to, in any room of the house or office.

Dial/Knobs: The classic Gold colored dial with chocolate brown trim is in exceptional shape. All numbers and letters representing station frequencies are legible and show no signs of wear. The dial pointer is in great shape and moves around the dial nice and smooth. The original ‘bullet’ knobs are in great condition. They are secure, turn nicely, and work as they should.

Electronics/Chassis: The 5 tube chassis is superb. The built in loop antenna works great and the radio plays nice and strong with good volume, sensitive reception, and no hum.
